Geography
The course consists of human geography and Natural Geography. The course is made up of 25% course work (On rivers - River Glaven) and 75% Examination. This is what the course includes:

Coasts - Coastal processes, erosional landforms, depositional landforms, coastal management, coastal flooding
Ecosystems - the living world - Biomes, tropical rainforests, coniferous woodland, deciduous woodlands, savannah grassland, desert, tundra, human uses of rainforests, human uses of the savannah, human uses of the desert, human uses of temperate deciduous woodlands
Glacial landscapes and processes - Glaciation, glacial erosion landforms, glacial deposition landforms, human activity in glaciated areas, case study: conservation and management in the Lake District, avalanches
Rocks and landscapes - Geological time, classification of rocks, processes, rock types, quarrying
Natural hazards - Tectonic plates, fold mountains, earthquakes, volcanoes and volcanic eruptions, managing tectonic hazards, hurricanes, tsunamis
